H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has had a keen interest in martial arts since childhood. When he was a five year old boy he learned the karate martial arts. Then he tried taekwondo, wrestling, judo and other martial arts sports.
While he was studying in the USA he came to know about Jiu-Jitsu. He initially joined a club and started practicing. He found himself in this sport and started his journey. Because of his dedication and his developed expertise to Jiu-Jitsu, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan became well known internationally.
He is also the founder of ADCC international tournament. A certified black belt Gracie JJ holder he is the first fighter to introduce the no- gi submission. With the support of H.H. Shaikh Mohammad, he started the Jiu-Jitsu club in Abu Dhabi and after its success in the emirate he then introduced the sport to the rest of the Middle East.
